Dot Tel domains work for QR-Code usage, right out of the box.

Dot Tel is a mobile website, especially for communications, and therefor designed for interaction.

It is most likely the best domain extension for QR-Code usage.

Dot Tel domains work for QR-Code usage, right out of the box.

The only thing the .Tel holder has to do, is to mark his mobile URL's with "(mobile)".
And every one be happy.

Even better, is to create two main folders: "Mobile Content", and "Non-Mobile Content".

Cheers, and take care.

How to avoid long sub-domain name strings within Dot Tel domains.

How to avoid long sub-domain name strings within Dot Tel domains:

On the control panel, within the folders section:

Create the sub-domain only under the main domain, and not under a existing sub-domain. Then move the sub-domain to its destination folder, by going to "Contact Information", drop down menu "Choose an action", "Copy/Move", "Move to...", "Move items to another folder", "Choose where you would like to move these items to:", then select the destination folder witin the drop down menu, and "Save".
The sub-domain will be moved to its place.

This is the manually proceeding, instead of having sub-sub-domains, and sub-sub-sub-domains, and therefor long sub-domain name strings (in the browser).

The shorter sub-domain names, also look better, and are easier for using, and for googling, etc.

QR-Codes must provide mobile content only

Providing a Dot Tel domain, is a bit problematic, with the random web links. And because most provided web links on a Dot Tel domain, are no mobile web links.

I advise, to always ask the question, if your „content for QR-Codes“ is mobile phone friendly.

You can generate codes from text, phone numbers, email addresses, email messages, Google Maps Location, V Card, the most known social media links, iTunes, youTube, and so on.

But you must distinguish within website URL's.

Especially, when providing Dot Tel domains for QR-Codes, because mobile friendly URL's should be visible and selectable, as such. As mobile URL's.

You don't want to be annoying to the visitor of your Dot Tel page: Which is why it is smart, to create a separate subfolder, named, for example „mobile content“, and „non-mobile content“.

So that using the „mobile content“ folder will be „100% go“.
And the „non-mobile content“ folder data could be transfered to your desktop computer or laptop.

At present, you are able to mark mobile URL's within Dot Tel domains, with „web mobile“, or similar.

But as mobile web links, and non-mobile web links, are scattered all over the contact page, it would be differnt to select the right one, when being „on the go“.

The user experience, could be so much better for a user getting pointet to a Dot Tel domain, by a QR-Code. Otherwhise, if we don't make any difference between the URL's, the visit to your .Tel will end up in frustration and annoyance, having wasted precious time.

So, please keep an eye on those URL's you provide on your Dot Tel domain, when it comes to creating, displaying QR-Codes, and providing mobile web content for people who are offline, on the go, with their mobile phone, ready to snap QR-Codes.

The user won't read all this snapped web content, while he is on the go, but will bookmark many of the codes, until he is at home / home office, or in his office away from home, or in a public transportation, or caffee, restaurant, etc., when he can settle a bit, and use his attention for reading info from his smart phone.

Custom design codes,
for your mobile marketing

Monday 17 January 2011

Free mobile advertizing with QR-Codes at the Annunci.tel site, untill, 1. of Mai.

http://annunci.tel/

How it works:

What is a QR code?
A QR code is a two-dimensional code that is readable by your mobile smartphone. When you scan a QR code with a QR code reader app it will automatically open a related link on your phone’s web browser. Every QR code has it’s own link.

That’s very cool but what can I do with them?
We will create a sub-domain for you, and upload a QR-Code of your item description to the header-icon field.
QR codes give sellers a way to sell their online items in the offline world. Sellers can click on the QR code in their listing to print it out. Then, if you’re selling one of your items in a store, flea, or other physical location, you can put the printed QR code next to the item.
Potential buyers can scan the QR code and be taken right to the item’s www.annunci.tel listing. Since your listing contains more information on the item, it’s very useful for a buyer to see. They can purchase the item, or save the listing for later. It’s just another great way to sell your items.
If you want, you can give it a try with your smartphone on any listing. Just enlarge a QR code on a listing, aim the reader app at it and see what happens!

Do you want to sell an item on annunci.tel?:
Send us your item description with requested price and your contact email, to the following email address:
annuncitel@gmail.com

We will list your item, together with the related QR-Code, that we will generate.

About money

Basically, the monitary system is bad, because it causes more poverty, war, hunger, than wealth, nurished people, freedom, shelter, etc.

Money is only good (for you!), as long as you have some money to spend. Or money in form of numbers, on your bank account.

The money you gain, is possibly taken away from someone else. Legally.

So, don't just be happy, because you have money: Think, from where it may have come, and think, about people struggling, but getting nowhere in this monitary system, haven chronically not enough money.

Dependance on the monitary system, means for a few, to be rich, or wealthy, and for the rest, to be a working poor, or to live under existence minimum, and to live a live, like an slave, having to live under the worst circumstances.

Everyone, is slave of the monitary sistem, but some are quite well off, and even happy, and others are unhappy, and very poor.

To eliminate 50% of unjustice, war, crime, and even corruption, we have to either reform the monitary system, or find some new solution, for exchanging goods and services.

Able to exchange goods and services, and understanding the principles of accounting, should enable one to have a good live standard.

Türler is one of the few remaining privately owned businesses in the watch and jewelry trade, and stands out with more than 120 years of experience in the domains of watches, jewelry, and precious stones.

It is a desire that dates back to the origins of humankind: to adorn oneself, to give a gift that counts, to evoke emotions. Since time immemorial, jewelry has been a mirror image of the philosophies of life and of the lifestyles of every culture. In the last millennium, in the early 13th century, mankind discovered a new type of ornament, a marvelously mechanical one which was not only decorative but also capable of structuring the course of a day: the timekeeping instrument. Today, timepieces and jewelry are part of our very nature. The reasons people have for acquiring, possessing, and giving watches and jewelry as gifts to loved ones have remained unchanged. The mission of Türler has remained unchanged as well: we live and breathe the culture of watches and jewelry - and that is the foundation of our credibility.

creating a online sales page for QR-Code usage

What we need:

(Nota Bene: Any Internet domain URL, site or page, has to be mobile friendly.)

1.)
A page:

--> one blog post
or
--> one OpenOffice document
or
--> one Dot Tel domain sub-domain, or other mobile web site or mobile web page sub-domain
or
--> Facebook (mobile) Shop listing, Auctiva shop listing, eBay (mobile) item listing, Amazon listing, etc.
or
Other

2.)
Mobile content (URL / Link):

--> Text (info about product, item, service(s), real estate,
--> Pictures
--> Links to mobile web content (sites, contact ifo, text, etc.)
-->--> page = link (pdf, png transparent picture with text, other docu (OpenOffice), contact info, etc.

3.)
A QR-Code (generated by a Code Generator, for Web Media usage):

Input: Enter content for mobile device into Code Generator (link, contact info, text, etc.).
Output: one (1) code.

4.)
Page layout and design idea (Web Media) :

With help of mind map, template, wrappers, etc.
Create and design wrapper for inserting later code (paste, after downloading from storage device or external server, and copying).

5.)
QR-Code customization for implementing into sales page (online- and Web Media publishing):

Customise, with „GIMP Image Editor“, or „Photo Shop“, or other.
Design, store, resize, and fit code into page layout (side, header right, footer right, etc.).

6.)
Generate and customize QR-Code of sales page for offline- and Print Media publishing/usage (second, and final generated code).

7.)
Publish and promote code offline (Print Media), together with an advert text, to animate mobile phone users to scan the code:

Online: Web Media: blog or other web site.
Offline: Print Media: stickers, posters, billboards, flyers, brochures, cards, etc.

INPUT (= Content: 1.), 2.), 3.), 4.) and 5.))

OUTPUT (= Print Media & Web Media: QR-Code: 6.))

INERACTIVETY: Output gets scanned, to view Input
(Content). Potential customer possibly
contacts the publisher/advertizer/seller or service provider)

Result: Successful sale, within reasonable time. Cost efficient and saving, and time saving, and last, but not least: fun.

Linking print and out-of-home media to online mobile-friendly pages.

Mobile Phone:
(And Mobile Web Media / Internet:)
--> Scans from paper (Print Media)
--> Scans from PC and laptop screen (Web Media)
--> Reads Web Media (mobile documents, mobile web sites)

Print Media
--> Offline marketing and advertising
--> plus added QR-Code
--> The text must explain, what you get, from scanning the code.

Web Media:
--> Online marketing and advertising
--> plus added QR-Code
--> The text must/should explain, or give a hint about what (sort of info) you get, from scanning the code.

Below are some examples of medium that can take advantage of the QR-Code:

* Magazines
* Product catalogs
* Newspapers
* Posters
* Business Cards / Letterhead
* Direkt marketing flyers
* Floor Decals
* Indoor and outdoor signage
* Billboards
* T-shirts (imagine how you could engage an audience at a special event!)
* All kind of online pages where a QR-code make sense (blog articles, Banner Ads, Coupons)

Conclusion:
Basically, Print Media and Web Media offer the same.

The most effective marketing effects: ?.

Where is interativity that boost sales?:
The initiative comes from the consumer who scans product information, and who will be glad, to receive quality mobile web content, from a mobile web site.
QR is the abbreviation for Quick Response, as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed

Does this boost SEO for the sellers web site?:
It will, if the consumer visits the web site. And perhaps a few times.

At the end of the day, the seller wants to sell his products, and get a better search enging ranking for his web site / web shop.
And the consumer would like to land at a proper mobile web site, or web page, and find a bargain, or value for money, or just learn something interesting and useful. The consumer might even share the web site of the seller, by sharing code and sharing the product and shop info through social media networks.

The consumer must:

1.) understand QR-Codes
2.) have a mobile phone with a inbuilt camera, as well as a application for scanning codes.
3.) Furthermore, must the client be willing to scann the code, providing he is convinced, that he will get some qualitiy mobile web content about the seller and his products.

The seller must:
1.) provid the consumer with knowledge about QR-Codes
2.) explain to the consumer, what he can expect to see and read, by scanning the code
As the whole idea is, to interact beween online and offline business and marketing, and build a bridge between the (world wide) web and the brick and mortar shops and ware houses in the real world.

However, not only should the seller display a QR-Code in the Print Media, but he should also spread the word by flyers, brochures, cards, stickers, T-shirts, posters, billboards, and so on.

Which means, that the Print Media on news papers, is not enought, and that stickers and billboards (with Dot Tel domain names and QR-Codes, can be more effective.

In general, the Print- and Web Media adertisier is the same person / company / business.

It is already clear, that QR-Codes will be a very strong marketing tool for businesses, offline and online. Whoever gets familiar with QR-Codes wins. It shall be a win-win situatin beteen sellers / manufacturers / producers and consumers.

So far, my thoughts and comments to the above picture.
